Level 1 Course - ABI in the teenage years
This course is usually run in April each year. Please email the office if you would be interested in this course.
The teenage years can be difficult to understand if you have sustained an ABI. This is a half day training for parents and families, but we also welcome teachers, LSAs, educational psychologists and SENCOs. It will assume knowledge of ABI, and then discuss the issues of the teenage years. There will be 3 sessions:
- ABI in the teenage years
- Living with a teenager with ABI
- Workshop: Challenges of ABI in the family
Venue: The course will be held at our base at 45 Stanley Road, Warmley BS15 4NX.
Time: 9:15am to 12:15 9am for coffee
This course will be followed by the course covering the transition to secondary school. If you are attending both, please bring your own lunch.
Required Contribution: £15 for schools who are members of the Project, £35 for non-members A cheque payable to SHIPS will be required when booking a place. We have support from Irwin Mitchell for parents' places.
