SHIPS was able to be initiated through the Cbit Action for Change programme.
The Child Brain Injury Trust (Cbit) aims to improve the quality of life for all children with an acquired brain injury and to enable them to achieve their full potential.
Support was then forthcoming from The Roald Dahl Foundation. We appreciated their help to get established.
The Merchant Venturers in Bristol have made two generous grants to support young people in Bristol. We have worked in two schools sponsored by The Merchant Venturers.
Ernest Cook Trust have made us two grants to be able to develop our Lifeboats Programme. This money was used to buy reading books for the Lifeboat for Reading and comprehension materials.
The Yorkshire Building Society, Monmouth Branch have put us forward for Community Funding on two occasions and we have been able to use their grants to support young people in South Wales.
Mediatopia have supported us from the beginning, hosting the website and email and generally being helpful. Thank you. In particular we want to thank Mike Last for his work on this new website and his patience in answering queries.
